Today, I might have ripped this lady a new one. I might have even been a bit out of control but I was soooo hot mad. I left work early today to take Jordan to the doctor. When I got there the office lady tells me that she cannot see Jordan today. Apparently, they hadn't received some paper work to determine if she has ADD/ADHD. I got mad when I asked her why she hadn't called. She said, "I called your number last week but it was out of service." I replied, "Wow, common sense then would lead me to call another number. Especially, since we have not had that number for over a year. Not to mention, Jordan has only been a patient here for a month. How could that be her contact number?" She then told me she called several times last week but she couldn't get through on the disconnected number. How many times would it take you to keep calling an old number before you checked records for another number???? Cory and Zane are both patients there and they always call Cory's cell for appointments.
The main office lady then stepped in and asked me to come into the back to "discuss the situation". I was speaking really loudly... using the angry teacher voice, you teacher friends know the one. The voice of "really you thought that was ok??".
I told the first lady if she knew she didn't have the papers why did she wait until today. She told her boss and me that she called Cory this morning at ten to reschedule but Cory didn't call her back. I explained that Cory called me at 2:20 to tell me that she wanted to reschedule and he told me that he had called her right back. I WAS ALREADY AT THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE AT THAT TIME!!!! Gee why was I mad?????
Again, she told us that she called at ten. I asked if they were going to pay me for my time. You know if I had to cancel so late, I would have to pay the copay. It was only fair they paid me for her error. She didn't like that comment to well. I apologized for being fired up then I left feeling like a dog.
I called Cory on the way home and told him how they swore she called him this morning. Then he got fired up. He had the voicemail that was time stamped at 2:15. The office lady was a LIAR. Cory called the office then and told the manager that her lady lied to her and to me. She didn't call at ten. She waited until 2:15 to call for a 2:30 appointment! Did I mention...I WAS ALREADY THERE!
I hate people that are LIARS!!!!! I feel vindicated for being so upset with that lady. Maybe she needs to be on some ADD meds to get her work completed. Could you imagine not doing your job? Really how hard is to make a phone call in a timely matter?
Of course, last week it was the teenager at Chicfila and today it was the office lady. Maybe I need to up my anxiety meds. Or stupid people need to just not need to be near me. I wonder if it is early menopause. LOL! I sure hope it isn't insanity!
